This is a still life I painted just for fun. It depicts items which just happened to be around in my studio when the urge overwhelmed me.A shopping bag, a page of the news paper Investors Business Daily, a vase, playing cards, and a mug. I made up the table, the leave and the two pieces of fruit. I tried to stick with the classic composition of the triangle: wide on the bottom going upwards in a triangle

 Karin Eisermann was born and raised in Germany, where she worked briefly as a costume designer for the theatre and film industry. She came to the United States, in the summer of 1981, where she used her education as an art and history teacher, while raising two boys, teaching decorative painting out of her own studio and in a craft store,as well as pastel painting at the art association in Oberlin.She also run her own art supply store in Ohio. She dedicated her artistic life to fine art, oil and pastel, after moving to the Chicago area.
